Light Beneath the Stillness(art print)

Luminous acrylic and glaze
Seated Twist · Ardha Matsyendrasana

Canvas, paper and care

The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.

Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting

About Light Beneath the Stillness

A calm figure sits in Seated Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana) above a still lake, with one arm around a raised knee and the other hand resting behind. Seven soft points of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet light follow the spine, surrounded by a gentle glow.

Deep plum and night blue create a quiet space around the figure, while smooth layers of color give the lights a soft, steady glow. Fine brushwork adds texture to the dark water and sky. This painting suits a meditation room, a bedroom wall, or a quiet reading corner.
