Where the Mountains Breathe(art print)
Loose watercolor
Upward Salute · Urdhva Hastasana
Canvas, paper and care
The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.
Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting
About Where the Mountains Breathe
An older woman with short silver hair stands in Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana) on a mountain meadow, with her feet together and both arms reaching overhead. Pale morning light falls across the grass, while distant snowy peaks rise through the mist.
Misty teal and slate blue wash across the mountains, while touches of rose gold warm the figure and the soft light. Loose watercolor blooms and open areas of white paper give the scene a light, airy feel. This painting suits a quiet bedroom, a meditation corner, or a pale wall in a reading room.
