Where the Night Opens(art print)
Night-sky acrylic
Upward Salute · Urdhva Hastasana
Canvas, paper and care
The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.
Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

Shipping is included to the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union; Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland pay a small difference shown in the cart.

About the painting
About Where the Night Opens
A woman in a long-sleeved yoga outfit and soft headscarf stands in Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana) beneath a wide night sky. Her feet are together, and both arms reach overhead as a glowing moon and fine constellations light the scene.
Deep teal and violet give the sky a sense of depth, while rose clouds and pale gold stars soften the dark tones. Loose brushwork and fine gold details suit a quiet bedroom wall, a meditation corner, or a reading room with gentle evening light.
