Where the Gold Rests(art print)
Sumi-e ink and gold leaf
Seated Prayer · Anjali Mudra
Canvas, paper and care
The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.
Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting
About Where the Gold Rests
A Black woman with natural curly hair sits cross-legged in Seated Prayer (Anjali Mudra), her palms pressed together at her heart and her eyes closed. A gold leaf crescent moon hangs above her against the warm, open rice paper.
Charcoal ink and soft sepia washes give the figure shape, while wet and dry brushstrokes capture the curve of her body in a few graceful marks. Small touches of gold catch the light and draw the eye toward the moon. This painting suits a quiet bedroom, meditation corner, or living room wall with warm wood and natural textures.
