Fireflies in Violet(art print)

Luminous acrylic and glaze
Seated Twist · Ardha Matsyendrasana

Canvas, paper and care

The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.

Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting

About Fireflies in Violet

A graceful figure holds Seated Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana) in a quiet forest at night, with one arm around the raised knee and the other hand resting behind. Seven small points of light glow along the spine, while fireflies drift through the dark trees.

Soft red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet lights rise through the smoky violet and charcoal background. Smooth glazes and fine brushwork give each glow a gentle edge. This painting suits a bedroom wall, a meditation corner, or a quiet reading space where its low light and calm form can draw the eye.
