Gold Above Still Water(art print)

Sumi-e ink and gold leaf
Goddess Pose · Utkata Konasana

Canvas, paper and care

The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.

Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting

About Gold Above Still Water

A curvy woman with shoulder-length auburn hair holds Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana) on a small rock above a few quiet ripples of water. Soft light catches the gold leaf against warm ivory paper as her bent knees and raised cactus arms form a steady, open shape.

Black ink moves between bold strokes and pale gray washes, while a single vermilion accent adds a small note of warmth. Flecks of gold draw the eye without crowding the open space. This painting suits a meditation room, a quiet reading corner, or a bedroom wall with natural wood and soft linen.
