Gold Along the Branch(art print)

Sumi-e ink and gold leaf
Dancer's Pose · Natarajasana

Canvas, paper and care

The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.

Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting

About Gold Along the Branch

An older man with a short white beard holds Dancer's Pose (Natarajasana) beside a dark branch of plum blossoms. He stands on one leg, lifts his back foot high behind him, and reaches forward with an open chest as gold leaf catches the light around him.

Charcoal ink and sepia washes give the figure a clear shape, while loose brushstrokes leave plenty of quiet space on the warm paper. Small gold accents draw the eye without crowding the scene. This painting suits a meditation corner, a reading nook, or a bedroom wall with natural wood and soft neutral colors.
