Golden Bamboo Morning(art print)

Sumi-e ink and gold leaf
Easy Seated Meditation · Sukhasana

Canvas, paper and care

The canvas is a poly-cotton blend, hand-stretched over a 1.25 in pine frame with hanging hardware attached. The painting continues around the edges (a mirrored wrap), so the whole image stays on the front.

Framed prints use 189 gsm museum-grade matte paper behind a clear acrylic front, in a solid wood frame 0.75 in deep. Keep both out of direct sun and wipe with a dry cloth.

About the painting

About Golden Bamboo Morning

A woman with a red high ponytail sits in Easy Seated Meditation (Sukhasana), her hands resting in her lap and her eyes closed. A few bamboo stalks rise beside her against warm ivory rice paper, while small touches of gold catch the light.

Black ink moves between bold wet strokes and fine, dry lines, giving the figure a soft, flowing shape. Vermilion adds a warm note against the gray washes and gold leaf. This painting suits a meditation room, a quiet bedroom, or a reading corner with natural wood and soft neutral walls.
